Strong and gusty southerly winds can be expected Wednesday into tonight, according to the National Weather service at Jackson.
Golf ball size hail and strong tornadoes are possible. Flash flooding, especially in low-lying and urban areas, will be possible. A wind advisory has been issued for locations in the elevated threat area where sustained winds of 25 mph and gusts to 45 mph may result in a few downed trees and power lines..
