NORTH SIOUX CITY, S.D. (KCAU) — Officials were all set up and ready to get underway with the first of two blasts of the train bridge going over the Big Sioux River between North Sioux City and Sioux City Monday morning.
The first blast happened on the North Sioux City side of the river. The controlled blasts will help officials begin the necessary cleanup process for the collapsed bridge.
The second blast is scheduled to take place on September 6 at 9 a.m.
