SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) – Not as cold this morning and warmer this afternoon.
Even with thicker clouds today, highs will reach the 20s and 30s. Winds will be stronger today, with southerly winds in southeast KELOLAND at 15 to 25 mph (gusts over 30). Strong winds will create areas of blowing snow in eastern and southeast KELOLAND.
Flurries and light snow showers may appear in eastern KELOLAND late today and tonight, but the majority of the snow will be well to our east into eastern Minnesota.
Western South Dakota has the best chance for accumulating snow this weekend. The first round will be on Saturday with periods of light snow, then after sunset on Sunday. Much of central and eastern KELOLAND will be dry this weekend.
Light snow will continue into Monday in western, south central, and extreme southeast KELOLAND.
Highs next week will be well below average with slightly warmer temperatures expected for next weekend.
