TEA, S.D. (KELO) — A store in Tea filled with more than 50 vendors is expanding.
Shopping through all the vendors at Makers Exchange might make you work up an appetite.
“Yes, we are working on our waffle, our fresh waffles and coffee,” shopper Lesley James said.
The market side of Makers Exchange is now open to curb cravings with a variety of waffles and drinks.
“Sioux Falls doesn’t have a Waffle House so we’re really excited to bring that here to Sioux Falls,” co-owner Bobbi Thury said. “They’re things that people can enjoy, young to old and it’s easy. You can actually shop while you’re eating waffles because we have them wrapped to go or you sit down at a table.”
It’s not just waffles, though. You can also find locally produced food.
“So everything from like buffalo meat to Wagyu to other farm-fresh products here that people can come and purchase,” Thury said.
Celebrating area makers, bakers, crafters and producers all under one roof.
“We have so many talented, you know, locally-owned, independently-owned businesses right here in our area,” Thury said.
“I like when creative people come together. I’ve worked in areas like that as an artist so you inspire each other,” James said. “And it also lends to people looking for a gift. They don’t know that something exists but someone’s making it. It promotes good creative thinking or ideas, that’s why I enjoyed it.”
The market side also has a drive-thru window so you can get your waffles on the go.
