Eagan, Minn. (Aug. 9, 2024) – The Minnesota Vikings acquire CB Nahshon Wright via trade with the Dallas Cowboys in exchange for CB Andrew Booth Jr. The completion of the trade is pending physicals.

Nahshon Wright (pronounced nuh-SHAWN), who was selected by the Dallas Cowboys in the third round (99th overall) of the 2021 NFL Draft, has appeared in 32 games, including three starts, in his first three seasons in the league. During the 2022 season, Wright recorded single season bests in total tackles (23) and passes defensed (four), despite playing in just seven games (two starts). He saw action in 12 matchups in 2023 after beginning the season on injured reserve and made his postseason debut against the Green Bay Packers on Jan. 14, 2024. A native of East Palo Alto, Calif., Wright played the final two seasons of his collegiate career at Oregon State where he started 16 of the 18 games he played and registered 64 total tackles, including 1.5 for loss, 1.0 sack, five interceptions, 11 passes defensed and one forced fumble.
