PRAIRIE DU CHIEN, Wisc. – Once again, Cooke has been caught shamelessly lying, this time by misrepresenting people she says she wants to represent! You cannot make this stuff up!
On Wednesday, Cooke posted a photo of herself in Adams County, knocking on doors, and claiming that she met “5 more Republicans” who were voting for her.
BUT, the Wisconsin Republican featured in Cooke’s post was shocked to learn that he was voting for the Democrat! In fact, he felt so strongly about it, he shared the following video to make it explicitly clear Cooke is lying.
Transcription:
“Hi, my name is Dan Parr. Earlier today, Rebecca Cooke stopped by my house and asked to speak to me. I was polite and courteous to her the entire time. She then asked if she could take my wife and I’s picture in front of all my Republican yard signs and I said yes. Later on, I found out that she used that picture in her campaign, where she stated she had my wife and I’s vote. This isn’t true. She doesn’t have our vote. Matter of fact, we don’t appreciate being used in this way. We did not authorize her to use our picture. We’re voting for Derrick Van Orden.”
In a statement responding to the situation, Congressman Van Orden condemns Cooke for, once again, lying to voters across the Third District about her support and background.
“Rebecca Cooke is a shady pathological liar and is unfit for office. She is exploiting well-meaning, patriotic Americans to gain personal political power. Cooke has consistently lied about her background, her policy positions, and her campaign finances, but this takes the cake. Cooke represents everything every Wisconsinite hates about politics and everything I am fighting against.”
