MANILA, Philippines–National University allowed Far Eastern University to steal a set before putting its act together and scoring a 24-26, 25-17, 25-19, 25-10 win that kept its unblemished slate in the UAAP Season 84 women’s volleyball Tuesday at Mall of Asia Arena.

Assured of a twice-to-beat bonus in the Final Four, the Lady Bulldogs came out sluggish and tried to play the Lady Tamaraws on their own terms before waking up in time to secure their 13th victory in as many games.

Bella Belen top-scored for NU with 18 points, while Sheena Toring added 12 points.

Eliminated FEU, playing without any pressure to win, attempted to engage NU until the second set but younger, untested Lady Tamaraws soon lost steam to fall to their 10th straight defeat for a 1-12 record.

Still it was an impressive performance for FEU which lost to NU in the first round via 25-10, 25-11, 25-12 rout.
