SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — Two semi-trucks crashed on Interstate 90 due to icy conditions Saturday morning.

At around 10 a.m. on Saturday morning, Kadoka first responders responded to an injury accident near mile marker 164 in the westbound lanes of Interstate 90.

Preliminary crash information indicates two semi trucks were traveling west when one rear-ended the other. Both drivers were transported to the hospital with serious, life-threatening injuries. One driver needed to be taken out of his truck by the fire department.

South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating this crash.

On January 4th at around 10am the Sheriff’s Office, Kadoka Volunteer Ambulance service, and the Kadoka Volunteer Fire Department responded to an injury accident on Interstate 90 near mile marker 164 in the westbound lanes.
