The Tennessee Titans began the preseason on a strong note, defeating the defending NFC champion San Francisco 49ers 17-13.
The 49ers jumped on the Titans early, when running back Jordan Mason scored from four yards to make it 7-0. Tennessee responded when quarterback Will Levis scored on a one-yard touchdown run. The Titans followed it up with another touchdown, this time from running back Tyjae Spears.
Tennessee would extend its lead to 17-7 in the fourth quarter and hold off the Niners for the win.
