WESTFIELD, Ind. — A truck ran into a home in Hamilton County on Sunday.
According to a Facebook post from the Westfield Fire Department, WFD and the Carmel Fire Department both responded to a residence that was struck by a truck. CFD was the first agency to arrive at the scene, and it requested WFD’s structural collapse team respond to the residence.

One of WFD’s vehicles is specially equipped to respond to structure collapses. The vehicle carries construction equipment and building supplies that crews can use to shore and stabilize compromised structures.
On Sunday, WFD brought the vehicle to scene and built two structural support columns to shore up the portion of the residence that was hit by the truck. WFD’s work allowed the family living in the home to safely remain there for the time being.
Officials also confirmed none of the home or truck’s occupants were injured during the crash.
WFD did not report exactly when or where the crash happened. As of this article’s publication, no additional information on the crash had been made available.
