The male Arizona State University (ASU) student who identifies as a transgender female admitted he committed assault due to his anger toward Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump.
The culprit that assaulted Kari Lake’s daughter, Ruby Halperin, during a voter registration event in September — an 18-year-old leftist, self-identified “lesbian” transgender Arizona State University (ASU) student who goes by the alias “Rebecca Kimpel” — says he was upset to the point of violence at the mere mention of Trump.
Kimpel threw soda on Halperin and ran away from the scene of the crime, per testimony from Halperin and other witnesses validated by campus security footage. Halperin is an executive assistant with Turning Point USA.
As I was registering voters today at ASU, a radical leftist threw their whole beverage on me and ran away.
THIS IS THE LEFT.
They know we are winning this election and it scares them.

In police body camera footage shared with the Arizona Daily Independent, when ASU campus police later apprehended Kimpel, he said that his attack “was not that bad” but a “prank.” However, Kimpel explained that he threw the soda because he felt threatened by the voter registration booth’s display of presidential candidate Donald Trump.
“I saw a Trump stand and, as a trans woman, I did not feel comfortable with it,” said Kimpel. “I really — seeing that everywhere really, like, hurt me.”
Kimpel also answered the door undressed (censored by the body camera footage), which the officer failed to notice and address until partway through his interview with Kimpel.
The ASU campus police report referred to Kimpel as a “female.” It did not list his legal name or biological gender. The report also declined to characterize the assault as having an “motivation bias,” despite Kimpel’s admission that it was the discussion of Trump that “frustrated” him and prompted him to commit the assault.
Kimpel claimed to the interviewing officer that he didn’t “f*****g remember” his phone number because it’s “really long and a lot of numbers.” Kimpel is a film and production student at the university.
Days after begging for legal fees online for the case involving this incident, Kimpel took a trip to Japan.

Kimpel’s social media footprint (@hltler_dlsliker on X, @jockohomosexual on Instagram) indicates a young man struggling with gender dysphoria despite socially transitioning at a young age (some of his earliest posts show him at a Phoenix Pride rally in his early teens). Kimpel’s initial X account, “@jockohomosexual,” was suspended for violating rules.
In some of Kimpel’s posts, he claims he was “groomed by a trans woman.”
“[I] called out a popular trans musician for repeatedly sending me pornography and jacking off in a voice chat I was in as a teenager,” said Kimpel.
In numerous posts, Kimpel admits that he is dysphoric and unhappy.
“I still feel unaddressed dysphoria! Constantly! That never goes away, I’m still not incredibly happy with my body! I don’t think a lot of trans women are!” said Kimpel. “Transitioning doesn’t ‘solve’ depression and this feeling of being trapped, this stasis. I’ve been f****** trapped there for years and I’m trans!!”
