A Tornado Watch has been issued for Central Indiana until 8 p.m. This afternoon, a band of thunderstorms is expected to intensify from Illinois into Indiana while spreading northeastward. Damaging winds of 60-70 mph will become the primary concern, and isolated tornadoes are possible.

Scattered storms are expected to initiate ahead of the main squall line and should move into the western half of the state after 2 p.m. Be sure to stay weather-aware throughout the afternoon and evening! It is very important that you have ways to receive any alerts that are issued.
