The Tennessee Titans quest for a new general manager continues on Thursday as they sent a request to the Chicago Bears to interview their assistant general manager, Ian Cunningham.

Cunningham played college football at the University of Virginia and had a short professional stint with the Kansas City Chiefs in 2008 before joining the Baltimore Ravens as a personnel assistant. He was with the Ravens until 2016. In 2017, Cunningham joined the Philadelphia Eagles as the director of college scouting and was promoted to assistant director of player personnel in 2019, and then director of player personnel in 2021.

The Bears hired Cunningham in 2022 as their assistant general manager, and in 2023, the Titans interviewed him as part of their general manager search that ultimately led to Ran Carthon’s hiring.

The Titans know Cunningham’s ability and they already know how he interviews. They must have seen something they liked if they are bringing him back, so it will be interesting to see where they land when this search is complete.
