Noodle, a slow-moving pug who became famous on TikTok for his “bones” or “no bones” days, has died at age 14.

The pug’s owner, Jonathan Graziano, announced Noodle’s death Saturday on TikTok. Noodle died on Friday.

“He was at home, he was in my arms,” Graziano said through tears. “It’s a day that I always knew was coming but never thought would arrive.”

Graziano gained more than 4 million TikTok followers with a simple and adorable concept.

Each day, he would pick up Noodle in his bed to wake him up. If Noodle stood up on his own, it was a “bones” day. If he flopped back to bed, it was a “no bones” day.

People began taking their cues for the day from Noodle. A “bones” day meant it was time to seize the day. A “no bones” day meant it was time to chill and relax.

“I get mentions from people who say it was a ‘bones’ day, so they decided to propose to their partner [or] they put a down payment on their house,” Graziano said in an interview on the “Today” show.

Graziano adopted Noodle when he was already 7 years old.

“It has been the privilege of my life to care for Noodle these past 7 years,” Graziano wrote Saturday. “The sweetest man there has ever been and will ever be.”
