Three people were fatally shot and a fourth wounded in a parking lot in Houston, the police said early Thursday.
No suspect was identified after the shootings late Wednesday, Officer Richard Gunke of the Houston Police Department said by telephone. A motive was also not immediately clear, and the Houston Police Department said on Twitter that the fourth person had been taken to a hospital.
There have been several shootings in Houston in recent weeks.
Two people were also killed in a shooting in Houston on Tuesday night, the local news media reported. In February, at least three shootings were recorded in one night, according to reports in the local news media.
The Police Department said early Thursday that a man had also died after being stabbed in a separate incident. No arrests have been made in either that case or the fatal shooting on Wednesday, Officer Gunke said.
In October, a Houston police officer was killed and another wounded by gunfire as they responded to a call about a domestic dispute at an apartment complex. The gunman, identified by the police as Elmer Manzano, was arrested and later charged with murder.
