MANILA, Philippines—Thirdy Ravena added new hardware to his growing closet of accolades.

Ravena was awarded the Japan B.League’s Impressive Asia Player of the Year award on Friday for his stellar season with the San-En Neophoenix.

The Filipino import, who is now a free agent after leaving the team, was instrumental in Neophoenix’s run in the recently-concluded season with norms of 12.6 points, 5.0 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game.

The Ateneo product was also one of the biggest reasons why San-En finished with a 46-14 record to win the Central Conference title.

Unfortunately, Ravena and company fell short in the B1 quarterfinals at the hands of eventual champions, Hiroshima Dragonflies.

Numerous talents from the professional league were also recognized in the B.League Award show.

The B.League named its top 10 players in Hiejima Shin and DJ Newville of Utsonomiya Brex, Togashi Yuki and John Mooney of Chiba Jets, Taves Sea and Sebastian Size of Tokyo Alvark, Yuki Kawamura of Yokohama B-Corsairs, Coty Clark of San-En, Takumi Saito of Nagoya Diamond Dolphins and Perrin Buford of Shimane Susanoo Magic.

Buford was also hailed as B1’s Top Scorer. Kawamura was named as the Assist King while Mooney was hailed as the Rebound King.

Coe Fripping of the Gunma Crane Thunders was the league’s King of Steals and Josh Hawkinson of the Sun Rockers Shibuya was hailed as the King of Blocks.
