Roster locks: Will Levis, Mason Rudolph

There is nothing more important in 2024 than the Titans getting an answer on Levis.

Thankfully, Tennessee has put him in a much better position to succeed after making significant additions to the wide receivers room and offensive line.

General manager Ran Carthon added JC Latham at left tackle and Lloyd Cushenberry at center, and signed wide receivers Calvin Ridley and Tyler Boyd, who join DeAndre Hopkins.

The Titans still have some question marks at right guard and tackle, and Latham can also be viewed as a bit of a wild card, simply because he’s a rookie.

However, this group should be better than the league-worst units we’ve seen the last few years. I know, I know, we said that last year, also, but we’ve got to have hope, right?

Along with the revamped receivers group and offensive line, Levis will be operating in a more pass-heavy offense under head coach Brian Callahan, so he’ll have ample opportunity to show his stuff.

Coming off playing the best football of his career in 2023, Rudolph is a good backup option for Tennessee and an upgrade over Willis.

Rudolph is technically competing with Willis for the backup job, but by all accounts he is easily winning the battle after the offseason program, which is why he’s in the locks section.

And that was always the expected outcome the moment Rudolph signed with the Titans. He’ll have to seal the deal in training camp, but there has been nothing to suggest that Willis will be able to beat Rudolph out.
