The Tennessee Titans have done what everyone expected them to and added a veteran safety with the goal of shoring up a position that was one of the team’s biggest question marks.

The team announced on Thursday morning that it has agreed to terms with veteran safety Jamal Adams, who spent the last four seasons with the Seattle Seahawks. The deal is for one year but the financials were not immediately disclosed.

Once considered one of the premier safeties in the NFL, Adams has seen a steep decline since joining the Seahawks. Not only has he battled injury, he’s also struggled on the field.

That said, his addition is still a welcomed one, as the team needed more depth and another starting option next to Amani Hooker. Adams figures to be the latter, with Molden sliding to the No. 3 safety role.

However, nothing is guaranteed when it comes to Adams considering what we’ve seen of him the past few years. Now, a look at how Titans Twitter reacted to the news.
