The Tennessee Titans are adding to their defensive front with the signing of free-agent defensive end, Tarell Basham. The news comes from Basham’s agent.

Tennessee brought Basham in for a free-agent visit last week, and the hope is that this doesn’t mean defensive end Denico Autry, who has missed the last two games with a knee injury, will be out longer.

A former third-round pick of the Indianapolis Colts, Basham has appeared in 77 games (18 starts) over six seasons with three different teams, the Colts, New York Jets, and Dallas Cowboys.

Basham’s best seasons came in 2020 with the Jets and 2021 with the Cowboys, when he tallied a career-high 3.5 sacks in each campaign.

The Titans haven’t made the signing official yet, and it will require a corresponding move, as Tennessee’s roster is currently at 53 players.

The Titans will return to the practice field on Wednesday to prepare for a Week 14 matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday.
