The Tennessee Titans added seven rookies to their 2024 roster over the course of the three-day NFL draft, but not all of them are guaranteed to make an impact in Year 1.

The Titans’ 2024 NFL draft class includes offensive tackle JC Latham, defensive lineman T’Vondre Sweat, linebacker Cedric Gray, cornerback Jarvis Brownlee Jr., wide receiver Jha’Quan Jackson, edge rusher Jaylen Harrell and linebacker James Williams.

Shortly after the Titans drafted those seven players, we ranked them on their potential to make an impact in 2024. Now that we have a bit more information on the Titans’ roster following the offseason program, we’re going to update our rankings.

Here’s a look at what we came up with, and then you can compare our current rankings to the old ones at the end.

The Titans drafted Latham to be their left tackle of the future and he’ll be starting in Year 1.

Tennessee had the worst left tackle situation in the NFL the past two seasons, so even average play from Latham will be a massive improvement.

With the Titans being extremely thin along the defensive line, Sweat has a great shot to earn a starting role right away.

The biggest concern right now is he missed spring practices due to an injury suffered at rookie minicamp, which is never ideal for the development of a first-year player. Thankfully, he’s expected to be ready for training camp.

Gray will be competing for the starting job next to Kenneth Murray, and he may even wear the green dot if he wins it.

However, he’s going to face stiff competition from Jack Gibbens and Otis Reese, making it possible he isn’t even the first man off the bench at the position.

There is no path to a starting role for Brownlee Jr., as the top-three spots on the depth chart are owned by L’Jarius Sneed, Chidobe Awuzie and Roger McCreary.

That said, the CB4 role is up for grabs. The players competing against Brownlee Jr. — Eric Garror, Caleb Farley and Tre Avery — are no sure things. Brownlee Jr. has shown the ability to play both outside and in the slot, which will help his cause.

The Titans are lacking depth at outside linebacker behind Harold Landry and Arden Key. As a result, not only does Harrell have a shot to make the roster, he could see some snaps on defense, also.

With DeAndre Hopkins, Calvin Ridley, Tyler Boyd and Treylon Burks owning the top-four spots on the depth chart, Jackson will be no better than fifth in the pecking order and isn’t guaranteed to make the roster at all.

If he does, Jackson is a Swiss Army knife that can be used in many ways on offense, and he could earn a role as a returner.

Williams’ chances of making the roster are slim. Even if the Titans keep five, they are likely to be Murray, Gibbens, Gray, Reese and Luke Gifford. The Miami product is much more likely to end up on the practice squad.
