Tennessee Titans running back Derrick Henry was supposed to hit a wall in 2022 after missing half of last season with a foot injury — or at least that’s what some of the “experts” told us.

Sure, Henry has had his issues with fumbling, but every running back in the NFL would give anything to put up the numbers he quietly is in 2022. And, he’s posted those numbers despite missing one game and having a terrible team — and more specifically, an offensive line — around him.

The King currently ranks third in the NFL with 1,429 rushing yards and is tied for second with 13 rushing touchdowns.

Unfortunately, it looks like Henry will fall short of a rushing crown this year, as Las Vegas Raiders running back Josh Jacobs has the league lead with 1,608 yards on the ground with just one game left to play.

While a rushing crown is out of the question barring a legendary performance from Henry and an absolute dud from Jacobs, the Titans back can still make history in Week 18.

With 71 rushing yards and two touchdowns, Henry would become the first player in league history to have three seasons of 1,500 rushing yards and 15 touchdowns.

He likely would’ve set this mark last year if not for the injury, and would’ve been on his fourth in a row in 2022. The man is truly a one-of-a-kind talent.
