A teenager is hospitalized in serious condition after being shot while walking on a sidewalk in the Morgan Park neighborhood Saturday night, according to police.
Officers responded to the 900 block of West 115th Street at approximately 9:17 p.m. An occupant in a dark-colored vehicle had opened fire on the 17-year-old, who was transported to a nearby hospital with a gunshot wound to the back.
No one had been arrested as of Sunday morning and area detectives continue to investigate, police say.
