SIOUX FALLS S.D. (KELO) — A woman was arrested for threating a man with a sword.
Rosa Sosa, 45, of Tea, was arrested for aggravated assault after brandishing a sword to a stranger in a parking lot near 60th Street North and Cliff Avenue.
Police say a man was warming his car up in the parking lot at a hotel nearby when Sosa approached his vehicle and threatened him with a sword. The man called police, who found Sosa later walking.
“From my understanding, it was a legit sword, it had a sheath,” Sgt. Travis Olsen said at Monday’s police briefing.
Sosa also threatened officers with her sword. After officers used a taser, Sosa was arrested for one count aggravated assault and two counts of aggravated assault on law enforcement.
Officers also found a small amount of marijuana.
