SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — Two Lincoln County Fire Departments were called to battle a blaze west of Tea Wednesday afternoon.
Crews from Tea and Lennox were called to the scene around 4. The Tea Volunteer Fire Department shared photos of the fire on their Facebook. You can see a large area of ground was burned an some could be seen rising from bales.
Farm equipment and an excavator were brought in to open up bales that were still smoldering.
Crews were on scene until just after midnight.
A red flag warning has been issued for parts of the state. Residents are asked to refrain from any open burning.
