SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — Temperatures have been warm for much of September and while afternoon highs get the most attention, overnight lows have also been impressive.

It was another mild start to the day in southeast KELOLAND as temperatures were near 70 degrees, that’s around 15 degrees above the climate average low. The impressive thing is, this hasn’t just been for a morning or two.

Here’s a look at the overnight lows in Sioux Falls.

For the past week, we’ve been above average with lows in the 60s and low 70s.

But it’s not only Sioux Falls. Huron has had mild overnights also. In fact, record lows were set on Monday and Wednesday mornings.

And Aberdeen has been above average for lows for the past week and a half. Records were also set in Aberdeen Monday and Wednesday.

With cooler air coming in Thursday night, we’ll be closer to our usual overnight lows. And that is a trend that will continue.
