DELAWARE COUNTY, Ind. – A person was critically hurt after a Cadillac Escalade veered off a Delaware County road and rolled over multiple times.

According to the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded just after 7:20 a.m. Wednesday to a reported crash at south State Road 67 and County Road 400 South.

They discovered a 2022 Cadillac Escalade had been involved in a crash. It appeared the SUV was heading south on State Road 67 at a “high rate of speed” when it went off the road. The vehicle then hit three mailboxes and caused some property damage before “rolling multiple times.”

The SUV sustained significant damage as a result of the crash, police said.

The driver was taken to a hospital for treatment and was in critical condition at last check, according to the sheriff’s office.

The crash remains under investigation. Other responding agencies included Daleville police, Yorktown police, Eaton police, the Muncie Fire Department and Delaware County EMS.
