INDIANAPOLIS – Indianapolis Metropolitan police made an arrest in connection with a Sunday morning shooting.
According to IMPD, officers responded to Eskenazi Hospital around 5:15 a.m. Sunday after a person arrived at the hospital with gunshot wounds.
Detectives later determined the shooting happened in the 5100 block of W. Caven Street on the west side. They arrested 30-year-old Lee Bates in connection with the incident.
Lee was booked on battery charges. According to court records, he also had an open arrest warrant for a parole violation in a separate case.
The shooting remains under investigation. The Marion County Prosecutor’s Office will make the final charging decision.
