Hobbs Sparks Outrage For Refusal To Assist With Illegal Alien Arrests
On Friday, Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs announced that she is refusing to assist the Trump administration as Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents conduct arrests of illegal aliens in the state.
“We’re not going to use state resources to go into communities and round up people that aren’t causing harm,” said Hobbs, a Democrat, during a public relations event at a childcare center in Phoenix.
Hobbs’ comments drew swift reaction from Republicans, who support President Trump’s promise to deport illegal aliens who have taken advantage of the broken immigration system.
