MARION, SD (KELO) — Enjoy the fast-paced action of drag racing at Thunder Valley Dragways in Marion, SD. The races begin at 9 a.m. with the final race of the day starting at 3:30 p.m. Admission is $15, $5 for children.

American Legion Post 15 in Sioux Falls is hosting an all-you-can-eat Pancake Breakfast. Serving time is 8:30 a.m. to noon at the South Dakota Military Heritage Alliance.

Create your own Pinecone Eagle at AMC Collective in Sioux Falls. You’ll use yarn and felt to make your winged keepsake from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The cost is $5 per eagle.

PetSmart East at Dawley Farms in Sioux Falls is hosting an Adoption Meet & Greet. They’ll feature both kittens and adult cats available from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The 3-Wheeler Rally in Deadwood, SD features all makes and models of trikes. Registration starts at noon Mountain Time. A kickoff party that includes live music gets underway at 5 p.m. The rally runs through Friday.

The Summer Concert Series at Good Earth State Park in Sioux Falls features Janice Gilbert. The concert starts at 4 p.m. Seating is limited, so concert-goers are encouraged to bring a lawn chair or blanket. A park entrance license is required.

The Sioux Falls Municipal Band performs a free concert in the Terrace Park band shell. The music starts at 8 p.m.

This is the first weekend the new Jacobson Plaza is open in downtown Sioux Falls. The city’s largest playground is open from 5 a.m. to midnight. The splash pad is open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. The Lodge Bar & Grill is open 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.

The Sioux Valley Model Engineers Society is hosting an open house at their club building on the north side of the fairgrounds. You can check out South Dakota’s largest permanent model railroad display from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is free.

The city of Sioux Falls outdoor pools and aquatic centers are located at Drake Springs, Frank Olson, Kuehn, Laurel Oak and Terrace parks. Open swimming will go from 1 to 5 in the afternoons and 6:30 to 8 in the evenings. Splash pads at Hayward and Pioneer parks are open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Or, you can beat the summer heat with a visit to Wild Water West. The water park west of Sioux Falls features a tornado alley, water slides and a lazy river. The hours are 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Movies playing at the historic State Theater in downtown Sioux Falls include The Goonies rated PG, plus Materialists and First Blood, both rated R.

The Wells Fargo CineDome & Sweetman Planetarium features T-Rex, Mars: The Ultimate Voyage, 3-2-1 Liftoff and Wings Over Water.

The Palace Theatre in Luverne, MN is featuring the film, How to Train Your Dragon, rated PG. Show time is 7 p.m. Tickets are $8 for adults, $6 for children.

New movie releases playing at a theater near you include Jurassic World Rebirth and F1 The Movie, both rated PG-13.

The Canaries baseball team takes on the Milwaukee Milkmen. First pitch at Sioux Falls Stadium is 4:05 p.m.
