YANKTON – With good play on the final nine holes, Pierre Governor Girls Golf took a fourth-place finish Friday at the Yankton Invitational at Fox Run Golf Course.
Through the first nine holes, the Governors were in ninth place, but rallied on the last nine holes to shoot 352.
Ellie Jo Simpson tied for eighth individually, shooting 84 and going two-under-par on her last four holes with birdies on the par-five seventh and 10th holes. Hadley Hart shot 88 with a birdie on the par-four 16th hole. Andres Mosteller had an 89, including a birdie on the par-three 17th hole. Haley Nadeau fired a 91, with a birdie on the par-five third hole. Madilyn Brakke shot 92 and birdied the par-three fourth hole. Morgan Lisburg shot 105.
