Storms Move Out

STUBBORN TONIGHT AFTER A QUIET AND HOT EVENING, FINALE THE SKIES GIVING AWAY A BIT. MIKE: RIGHT NOW CHIEF METEOROLOGIST KEVIN ROBINSON IS JOINING US WITH ALLISON ROGERS, SHOWING US SOME OF WHATEVER VIEWERS ARE SEEING TONIGHT. . THE VIDEOS ARE PRETTY IMPRESSIVE, GUYS. ALLISON: IT IS INSANE. KEVIN: IT IS INCREDIBLE. SOCIAL MEDIA BLEW UP WITH THE STORMS. LET’S GET TO THE VIDEO. ALLISON: JAMES SENT THIS GREAT VIDEO, THIS ONE FROM BUTLER COUNTY. SO MUCH HAPPENING WITH THIS CELL AS IT MOVES THROUGH. ALMOST WHAT WE CALL AN OVERSHOOT IN WORKING ITS WAY THROUGH. WE GOT THIS VIDEO FROM THE WEST SIDE, A TIME LAPSE OF ALL OF THAT WAS MOVING. NO MATTER WHERE YOU ARE RIGHT CINCINNATI, EISAI DOOR WEST SIDE, YOU WERE SEEING SOME INTENSE LIGHTNING AND THUNDER STORMS MOVING. WE GOT ONE COMMENT, NO ONE HEARD THE THUNDER BECAUSE WE WERE JUST A BIT TOO FAR AWAY FROM THE STORMS, AT LEAST FROM OUR VANTAGE POINT, TO HEAR THE THUNDER. MIKE: I THINK WE ALREADY OUTSIDE. WHEN WE SAW THE STORMS GOING UP IT IS. RARE THAT YOU ACTUALLY SEE THE STRUCTURE OF THE THUNDERSTORMS. A LOT OF TIMES YOU JUST DON’T SEE IT. THIS IS A REALLY NICE SHOT. A LOT OF VERY COOL PICTURES AND VIDEOS SENT IN FROM YOU AT HOME, SO THANK YOU FOR GETTING THOSE INTERESTS. ARE WE OUT OF THE WOODS? ON THE RADAR RIGHT NOW, THINGS ARE STILL LEADING UP TO THE EAST OF CINCINNATI. GOOD NEWS IS EPR TO THE WEST AND NORTHWEST OF I-71, THE THREAT FOR STORMS AND SEVERE WEATHER HAS ENDED FOR YOU. HERE IS THE FRONT, STORMS STILL GOING UP IN EASTER HAMILTON COUNTY, THOUGH. I MENTIONED THIS AT THE TOP OF THE SHOW, THERE IS A LITTLE BOUNDARY LEFT OVER FROM THE STORMS TO OUR NORTH. IF YOU HAVE BEEN IN DOWNTOWN CINCINNATI OR INTO NORTHERN KENTUCKY, IT IS YET TO RAIN — THERE IS A BOUNDARY ALONG THE OHIO RIVER, SO YOU MAY NOT BE OUT OF THE WOODS JUST YET. FROM DOWNTOWN AND JUST ACROSS THE RIVER INTO COVINGTON AND NEWPORT, I WOULD KEEP AN EYE ON THIS BIG DON FOR. IT IS HEADING EAST TOWARDS THE UNION COMMUNITY, AND TOWARDS OWINGS BILL. AND THERE IS OTHER BIG DON POWERS THROUGH PARTS OF BROWN COUNTY, FAYETTEVILLE. THE STORMS HALVED AWAY FROM THE WILMINGTON COMMUNITY BUT THEY ARE DROPPING SOUTH TOWARDS HILLSBORO. THUNDER AND LIGHTNING. HAVEN’T SEEN A LOT OF WIND FORTUNATELY, BECAUSE THE STORMS WERE SO LATE, THEY HAVEN’T MANAGED TO UTILIZE THE ENERGY THEY HAVE, BUT THEY ARE STILL CRANKING OUT THE LIGHTNING. . MAY BE A 30-40 MILES PER HOUR WIND GUST. FOR THE MOST PART, THIS STUFF SEES SUB-SEVERE WHILE IT LASTS NEXT HOUR OR SO. ONCE YOU GET INTO THE SOUTHERN PARTS OF KENTON COUNTY AND CAMPBELL COUNTY, YOU HAVE REINED THAT WILL EXCLUDE INTO CLAREMONT COUNTY. WATCH OUT WORDS BLAIRSVILLE AND NICHOLASVILLE, SOUTH OF EMELIA, LOCALLY HEAVY RAIN. . AND ANOTHER BIG DOWNPOUR DROPPING DOWN 75 AND TOWARDS DRY RIDGE, THUNDER AND LIGHTNING IN THIS. BUT AGAIN, IT LOOKS TO BE PRIMARILY NON-SEVERE. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FROM RELIEF FROM THE HUMIDITY, THESE STORMS REPRESENT THE LEADING EDGE OF THAT RELIEF TONIGHT. YOU CAN TELL WHERE IT HASN’T RAINED, IT STILL FEELS CLOSE TO 100 DEGREES, AT THE AIRPORT IN CINCINNATI AT 11:30 AT NIGHT. WHERE IT HAS RAINED, EVERYONE ELSE IS NOW DOWN TO THE 70’S AS IT REGARDS HOW IT FEELS. DEW POINTS IN THE 60’S. THAT MORE COMFORTABLE AIR WILL SPILL IN WELBY SLEEP SO IT WILL BE LESS HUMID TONIGHT. IT SHOULD BE A NICE-LOOKING THURSDAY, SUNNY SKIES AND WARM TEMPERATURES. WE ARE AT 84. BY MORNING WE WILL GET DOWN TO THE 70’S FOR LOWS. WE WILL SEE TEMPERATURES DROPPING THE NEXT FEW HOURS THROUGH THE REST OF THE NIGHT, AND THEN ANOTHER WARM UP TOMORROW WITH LOWER LEVELS OF HUMIDITY. IT WILL NOT BE COMFORTABLE OUT, JUST NOT AS OPPRESSIVE. TOMORROW WE ARE BACK CLOSE TO 90, 88 DEGREES. HERE IS YOUR DAY PLANNER, IT WILL BE A HOT ONE, BUT IT SHOULD FEEL NOTICEABLY LESS HUMID. YOUR SEVEN-DAY FORECAST, WE ARE KEEPING A CLOSE EYE ON THE WEEKEND. STILL A SCORCHER RIG

Storms will move out as humidity takes a dip.
