The storm system that ripped through central KELOLAND also made its mark on Vermillion Monday night. Strong winds uprooted tree, damaged buildings and vehicles. Now residents will have to spend the next few days cleaning up.


We all remember the Mosquito takeover a few weeks ago. Lately, you may have noticed an influx of dragonflies. Just like the flowers at McKennan Park, dragonflies are part of nature and do no harm.


 South Dakota Department of Corrections Secretary Kellie Wasko on Tuesday addressed responses to both the staff assault at the state penitentiary in Sioux Falls in March and fights among inmates at the Mike Durfee State Prison in Springfield in July.


A man was arrested Monday afternoon on multiple warrants.
