SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO) — After back-to-back days of active weather in portions of KELOLAND, we’ve been able to enjoy a VERY nice break from the action on both sides of the river!

As of 3 pm CDT Tuesday

High pressure will stick around for the rest of the day, but change is on the way as head into the night. Nothing drastic at first, but an increase in cloud cover is in the cards.

Scattered shower chances move into the picture for Wednesday and Thursday. While coverage and moisture amounts aren’t all that impressive, it’ll be something to consider if you have outdoor plans all the same. An isolated rumble of thunder or two on Thursday is also possible.

A few showers may linger to the east and southeast early on Friday, but the overall trend is a good one as we go through the rest of Friday and Saturday as well. Even Sunday is looking good and warm, though windy weather does return.

Rain chances return as we head into next Monday and Tuesday, while temperatures remain a good bit above average. In fact, beyond the 7 day forecast, odds for above average temperatures are favored as we head into the middle of May.

Here’s a look at your extended forecast:
