Some players, like quarterback Will Levis, improve when forced out of the lineup, while others fall flat after a layoff. Count Petit-Frere as one that may never improve. Thrust back into the starting role due to injury, he has done nothing to seize the opportunity and was again a complete liability. He not only committed three penalties that set the offense back, he was a constant source of pressure on Levis. Right tackle is a problem, and Petit-Frere has shown he is not the answer.
