The Stanley County Treasurer’s Office is back open in the Courthouse in Fort Pierre.
The hours of operation this week (July 5-8, 2022) are 8am-12pm and 1pm-5pm. Starting next week, the hours will be 8am-5pm.
The Stanley County Treasurer’s Office had been closed since mid-June. The reason for the temporary closure was not given, but the Stanley County Commission meeting agenda for this evening (July 7) includes the resignation of Treasurer Peggy Dougherty and the hiring of Kaylee Green as the new Deputy Treasurer.
JUNE 22, 2022:
The Stanley County Treasurer’s Office at the Courthouse in Fort Pierre is closed until further notice. The office had been closed for a few days last week, but was scheduled to reopen yesterday (June 21, 2022).
A message from the Stanley County Commission doesn’t say why the office is temporarily closed, but does apologize for the inconvenience.
Those needing to get license plate tags may do so at the South Dakota Now kiosks in Pierre. They are located at Lynn’s Dakotamart or in the lobby of the Sigurd Anderson building on Capitol Avenue (445 East Capitol).
JUNE 15, 2022:
The Stanley County Treasurer’s Office at the Courthouse in Fort Pierre is temporarily closed.
Those needing to get license plate tags may do so at the South Dakota Now kiosks in Pierre. They are located at Lynn’s Dakotamart or in the lobby of the Sigurd Anderson building on Capitol Avenue.
The office will be closed through Monday (June 20, 2022) and back open on Tuesday.
