INDIANAPOLIS — A man succumbed to his injuries on Saturday, following a deadly incident on the near west side of Indianapolis that occurred on Friday.
On June 14, IMPD South District officers were dispatched to the 3500 block of Dogie Road on a report of a person stabbed. Upon arriving to the scene, officers located a male victim with injuries consistent with trauma. According to IMPD, Indianapolis Emergency Medical Services transported the victim to a nearby hospital in critical condition.
Medical personnel pronounced the victim dead the next day, but the Marion County Coroner’s Office is still determining a cause of death. As of the time of this article’s publication, it remains unclear whether his injuries were related to the stabbing.
IMPD officers said they identified and arrested 59-year-old Timothy Lisby for the incident. He was initially charged for aggravated battery, but his case has since been turned over to homicide detectives. With their assistance, the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office will make a final charging decision. Lisby remains in custody.
A booking photo for Timothy Lisby and the name of the deceased have not yet been released.
