SIOUX FALLS S.D. (KELO) — Four spots of the southbound lanes of Interstate 29 buckled over the weekend, due to the extreme heat.

The buckling happened between exits 150-140, south of Brookings.

On Monday, the South Dakota Department of Transportation is reminding drivers to slow down at the posted speeds of 30 mph near the buckles.

KELOLAND’s Kelli Volk is looking at buckled roads and the impact they have on drivers in the city of Sioux Falls Monday. You can see that full report Monday on KELOLAND News and online.

Temperatures appear to be dropping this week, with Monday’s highs in the 70s. Forecast information can be found on our KELOLAND Weather page.
