TONIGHT: We have some isolated rain showers out around central ID towards Salmon and Challis, but those showers should disappear by the time the sun goes down. Everyone else will stick with mostly clear skies with no rain chances. Winds will be calm between 5-10 mph. Low temperatures get back down to the 50’s after being in the upper 60’s and lower 70’s for firework time.

TOMORROW: More isolated rain showers and thunderstorms are coming for central ID especially around Salmon and Challis in the afternoon tomorrow. Even then, we are only expecting a 30% chance of a shower in Salmon. The rest of the region will be sticking with mostly sunny skies. The winds will pick up slightly to be a little breezy between 10-15 mph. High temperatures increase by a degree or two into the upper 80’s for the valleys and lower 80’s for the mountains.

LONG TERM: It will be a very dry week upcoming for most of the region. Besides another few days of isolated rain showers and thunderstorms for Salmon and Challis up until Friday, the rest of the region does not see another major chance for rain come within the next week. Winds will stay pretty rapid especially in the second half of the work week getting up to 20-30 mph. High temperatures slightly increase into Friday when we get the high’s into the 90’s before settling back down to the 80’s for next weekend.
