A slight chance of thunderstorms is coming to the Denver area Friday afternoon, the National Weather Service said.
Mostly sunny weather reaching a high of 88 degrees is expected to be followed by a 10% chance of showers and thunderstorms after 4 p.m., the weather service said. Winds are forecast to reach between 6 and 10 mph, with gusts as high as 16 mph.

Weather is expected to stay warm in Denver through Saturday with a high of 89 degrees before dropping to a high of 77 degrees Sunday.
A chance of showers and thunderstorms will begin on Sunday and continue through the beginning of next week.
Monday is expected to reach a high of 71 degrees to finish out the holiday weekend, with winds joining the stormy weather.
