A 20-year-old skier from Kansas died Tuesday at Winter Park Resort after crashing into a tree, police said.
The resort’s ski patrol responded at about 10:52 a.m. Tuesday to reports of a skier who ran into a tree on Lupin, an intermediate to advanced trail on the mountain, according to a news release from the Fraser Winter Park Police Department.
Police said other guests who saw the crash started CPR until the ski patrol arrived to take the man, who has not been publicly identified, to the Denver Health Winter Park Medical Center. He was declared dead at the medical center.
