MERRILLVILLE, Ind. — Indiana State Police have declared a statewide Silver Alert for a woman missing out of the northwest part of the state.
The Lake County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the disappearance of 55-year-old Vicki Lynn Kirkwood, described as a 5’5″, 140-pound Black woman with black hair and brown eyes.
Police said Kirkwood was last seen around 2 p.m. Tuesday in Merrillville, which is 141 miles northwest of Indianapolis. She was last seen wearing a black hoodie and black pants with multi-colored stripes.
