SIOUX FALLS S.D. (KELO) — The Sioux Falls police deemed a Monday night threat to the school district “not credible” at Tuesday’s police briefing.
The non-credible threat was shared widely on social media and the Sioux Falls School District sent an email to parents, saying that school would still be in session Tuesday.
“Quite frequently what we find is these posts originate from somewhere else, sometimes in another state or part of the country, then they get shared and re-shared and they end up in Sioux Falls,” Clemens explained. “In this case, we don’t have any information that leads to any credible type of threat.”
The non-credible threat still remains under investigation. Police are working to locate the origin and location of the original non-credible threat.
