SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — A Sioux Falls man is in the Minnehaha County Jail accused of forcing a woman into her home and raping her.
31-year-old Kevin Bass faces several charges including burglary, assault and rape. He appeared in court today and is being held on a 250-thousand dollar cash-only bond.
Bass has a history of violent crimes. KELOLAND News has reported on him before.
In 2023 he was involved in a drive-by shooting on Minnesota Avenue. The victim was shot twice in the stomach, and Bass served a hundred days behind bars.
A year earlier, police arrested Bass for and assault and firing a gun outside a Sioux Falls school. His criminal history dates back to 2011.
