SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — This is an update on a case KELOLAND News has been following for nearly two years.
A convicted sex offender is back in prison for having sexual contact with someone who was unable to give consent.
A jury convicted 57-year-old Larry Richter of the 2021 crime and now a judge has sentenced him to 18 years behind bars.
He also has another case that’s still making its way through court.
In that case, he’s accused of having sexual contact with someone under the age of 16 at the Sioux Empire Fair.
Richter is on the sex offender registry for having sexual contact with four boys in 1987.
The victims in that case were 9 and 10 years old.
