SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — About 22 years after a conviction on 30 counts of possession of child pornography, a Sioux Falls man has been charged again.
Matthew Lee Mierkey, 58, is charged with three counts of possessing child pornography. Mierkey possessed child pornography on Oct. 30, the complaint alleges.
According to the South Dakota sex offender registry, Mierkey was convicted of possessing child pornography in 2002. Mierkey was also convicted of aggravated sexual assault of two children under 11 in Kansas.
Bail was set at $250,000 cash only Friday in 2nd Judicial Court in Minnehaha County.
