Severe Weather Again Friday
Updated: 7:39 PM EDT Jul 7, 2022
OR OVER THE PHONE. ALL RIGHT, SO FROM WHERE WE’VE BEEN TO WHERE WE ARE GOING, LET’S GET TO THE WEATHER FORECAST. WE DO NEED TO STILL BE WHETHER AWARE AS WE HEAD INTO FRIDAY CAMPUS. YEAH, WE’VE GOT ANOTHER ROUND OF POTENTIALLY STRONG THE SEVERE STORMS ON THE TABLE FOR TOMORROW AFTERNOON AND EVENING. SO YEAH, THIS IS JUST A LITTLE BIT OF A REPRIEVE FOR US HERE IN THE TRI-STATE AND WE COULD HAVE MULTIPLE ROUNDS OF STORMY WEATHER GOING INTO YOUR FRIDAY. IN FACT, IT LOOKS LIKE PROBABLY ONE IN THE MORNING AND THEN THE POTENTIAL FOR A SEVERE ROUND IN THE AFTERNOON AND EVENING. SO LET’S GET RIGHT ON OVER TO YOUR FORECAST BECAUSE THE WEEK WILL END ON A STORMY NOTE THE GOOD NEWS. IS THAT ONCE WE GET PAST THE ROUND OF STORMS TOMORROW OR ROUNDS. IT LOOKS PRETTY NICE HEADING INTO THE UPCOMING WEEKEND. WE’LL GET A LITTLE BREAK FROM THE HUMIDITY AND A BREAK FROM THE ASSISTANCE STORM THREAT AROUND THE AREA AS WELL. SO RADAR TONIGHT QUIET AROUND THE TRI-STATE AT THE MOMENT. HOWEVER, THERE IS SOME RAIN KNOCKING ON OUR DOORSTEP OUT TO OUR WEST AND SOUTHWEST ACROSS PARTS OF INDIANA DOWN INTO NORTHWESTERN KENTUCKY HERE TONIGHT THIS AREA OF RAIN IS SHRINKING AS IT MOVES IN OUR DIRECTION, RIGHT? HOWEVER, OUR AIR IS STILL VERY HUMID. SO WITH THAT SAID, I AM AT LEAST GOING TO KEEP THE THREAT COME MID EVENING HERE FOR SOME SHOWERS. OR MAYBE EVEN A BRIEF DOWNPOUR. I’M NOT WORRIED ABOUT THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY. I DON’T THINK WE’RE DEALING WITH THAT THAT HOLDS OFF UNTIL FRIDAY FOR US. SO YOUR FRIDAY STORM THREATS HEAVY RAIN YOU CAN CHECK THAT OUT FOR SURE BECAUSE AS WE’VE SEEN THERE’S JUST SO MUCH MOISTURE IN THE AIR THESE STORMS JUST RING OUT ALL THAT MOISTURE AND YOU GET THOSE JUST ABSOLUTELY BLINDING DRENCHING RANGE AROUND THE AREA. CONCERN FOR DAMAGING WINDS CERTAINLY ON THE TABLE AS WELL AND THE TORNADO THREAT. IT’S NOT ZERO. IN FACT, I COULD SEE THE CASE FOR MAYBE ONE OR TWO TORNADOES STILL AGAIN YET TOMORROW AROUND THE AREA. SO THE TRI-STATE IS RIGHT IN THE CROSSHAIRS OF THIS SLIGHT RISK FOR THE ENTIRE AREA JUST ABOUT TOMORROW AFTERNOON AND EVENING. I WILL SAY I DO THINK THE THREAT FOR SEVERE WEATHER IS GREATEST NEAR AND SOUTH OF THE OHIO RIVER THE FARTHER NORTH ONE GOES THE THREAT DOES BEGIN TO DECREASE HERE’S FUTURECAST. YOU AND THIS IS THAT SHOWER ACTIVITY THAT TRIES TO SCOOT THROUGH MID TO LATE EVENING AROUND THE AREA. SO I’M NOT GOING TO KEEP IT COMPLETELY DRY, ALTHOUGH FOR THE NEXT FEW HOURS. IT WILL BE AND THEN IT’S KIND OF QUIET OVERNIGHT AS WE GET TOWARDS MID-MORNING TOMORROW. I THINK WE’LL HAVE AROUND OR A DYING ROUND OF SHOWERS AND STORMS THAT WILL LIKELY BE DROPPING INTO THE AREA. THESE COULD BE NOISY, BUT I DON’T THINK THEY’RE GENERALLY GOING TO BE SEVERE. WE’LL KEEP AN EYE ON IT THIS ACTIVITY ACTIVITY SCOOTS OUT WE GET HOT DO IT FOR THE AFTERNOON AND THEN I THINK WE DEAL WITH YET A SECOND ROUND AND THIS WOULD BE THE POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS ROUND OF STORMS THAT COMES THROUGH IN THE AFTERNOON AND EVENING BEFORE THINGS GET QUIET HEADING INTO THE OVERNIGHT HOURS ON FRIDAY FOR US. SO OUTSIDE RIGHT NOW. IT IS WARM. IT IS HUMID. IT IS STEAMY OUT THERE. WE’RE NOT AS HOT AS WE’VE BEEN WE’RE ONLY AT 85 BUT THIS IS THE KEY RIGHT THERE THAT DEW POINT NUMBER AND THEN THE FACT THERE IS NO WIND. SO THE AIR IS JUST FEEL AND IT’S STEAMY OUT THERE. MOST OF US ARE IN THE MIDDLE TO UPPER 80S. YOU CAN SEE AT THE MOMENT 83 IN MOUNT HEALTHY 85 IN HARRISON. IT’S 89 AND SHARONVILLE 86 IN MILFORD 88 CURRENTLY IN LOVELAND. SO OUT THERE IN THE LOVELAND GOSHEN COMMUNITIES. IT’S LIKE 88 TO 90 AND IT FEELS AWFULLY UNCOMFORTABLE FOR FOLKS TRYING TO RECOVER. SO AGAIN KEEP THE THREAT IN THERE THIS EVENING FOR A PASSING SHOWER OR DOWNPOUR. I DON’T THINK THERE’S A LOT OF THUNDER AND LIGHTNING TONIGHT AT ALL, BUT THAT CHANCE IN THERE FOR SOME RAIN. OTHERWISE, IT’S HUMID. UNDERNEATH SOME CLOUDS ONLY DOWN TO 72 TONIGHT. TOMORROW’S ANOTHER WEATHER IMPACT DAY WITH MORNING RAIN THEN SOME STEAMY SUNSHINE AND THEN THE LIKELIHOOD OF AROUND THE STRONGEST SEVERE STORMS INTO THE AFTERNOON AND EVENING. SO THAT’S WHY TOMORROW AGAIN ANOTHER WEATHER IMPACT DAY. HERE’S YOUR SEVEN DAY FORECAST. WE GET A REPRIEVE IT WILL FEEL MORE COMFORTABLE OUT SATURDAY AND SUNDAY STILL WARM, BUT THERE WILL BE LESS EDGE TO THE HUMIDITY. IT WON’T BE QUITE AS OPPRESSIVE, BUT THEN YOU CAN SEE THERE BY MONDAY AND TUESDAY HEAT HUMIDITY IS BACK AND PROBABLY ANOTHER ROUND OF STORMS IN HERE AS WE GET INTO THE DAY ON TUESDAY. ALRIGHT, KEVIN. THANKS SO MUC
