MANILA, Philippines — Jollirine Co settled for a silver medal in jiu-jitsu in the women’s under 45kg nogi and Jan Vincent Cortez and Marc Alexander Lim got bronze medals in their respective men’s events as the Philippine jiu-jitsu team ended its 31st Southeast Asian Games campaign on Sunday

Co yielded to hometown bet Hue Phung Thi in the final and finished the women’s u45kg as the runner-up.

She beat Sokhouy Mab of Cambodia in the semifinal after sweeping the preliminary round with a pair of victories over Malaysia’s Ariel Thomas and Thailand’s Tadaporn Sakaew.

Cortez nabbed a bronze medal from the men’s under 56kg nogi, while Lim also placed third in the under69kg gi.

Cortez lost in the semifinal of his event at the hands of Vietnamese Hong Son Dao, who won the gold medal.

Lim also fell to eventual gold medalist Noah Tian Run Lim of Singapore in the u69kg semifinal.

Last Saturday, Meggie Ochoa and Annie Ramirez earned two gold medals for the Philippine jiu-jitsu team, while Carlo Angelo Pena copped silver in the 62 kg.
