MANILA, Philippines—Fil-American diver Ariana Drake just missed out on a podium finish at the Hanoi Southeast Asian Games on Tuesday.

Drake came just 0.35 short of a bronze medal in the women’s 3m springboard event at My Dinh Aquatic Centre after garnering a score of 229.80 points good for fourth.

She also finished fourth place on Sunday in the 1m springboard event.

Despite being empty-handed, the 18-year-old had a promising campaign in her SEA Games debut.

Wendy Ng of Malaysia defended her title with 270.60 points while her compatriot Ong Ker Ying placed second with 242.40 points. Fong Kay Yian of Singapore bagged the bronze with 230.15 points.

Malaysia is leading the medal tally with six golds, two silvers and a bronze, as of posting.
