BROOKINGS, S.D. (KELO) — Third-ranked SDSU picked up a 52-6 victory over Murray State at Dana J. Dykhouse Stadium Saturday afternoon.

The Jackrabbits scored all seven touchdowns of the game as they limited the Racers to just a pair of field goals.

The Jacks struck first when Mark Gronowski hit Amar Johnson for a 10-yard TD pass on the game’s opening drive. Angel Johnson broke off a 67-yard touchdown run later in the first to put the hosts up 14-3.

Kirby Voorhees extended the lead with a one-yard touchdown run in the first minute of the second. Amar Johnson pulled off a 44-yard scoring run later in the half to make it 28-6. Chase Mason found the endzone just before the two-minute timeout to give SDSU a 35-6 advantage.

Maxwell Woods notched his first TD of the game early in the third. Mason tallied his second score of the day with an 11-yard pass to Lofton O’Gorske in the third to make it 52-6.

State amassed 595 yards of total offense, including 353 through the air and 343 on the ground. The Racers were limited to 236 total yards.

Gronwoski went 9-for-16 for 170 yards and one TD. Griffin Wilde led the receiving core with 78 yards. Amar Johnson tallied 132 yards and one touchdown on seven carries. Angel Johnson registered 83 rushing yards and one score on six attempts.

SDSU is set to head north to Grand Forks, N.D., for a matchup with North Dakota next Saturday.
