PIERRE, SD (KELO) — Christmas at the Capitol features nearly 100 decorated trees inside the capitol building in Pierre. It’s open to the public every day from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. through December 26th, including Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Admission is free.
Santa Claus and his reindeer will be visiting the Lewis Drug Store at 69th and Louise in Sioux Falls. Bring your camera for photos with Santa from 9 a.m. to noon. Admission is free.
Falls Park is aglow for the holidays during Winter Wonderland. Park visitors will be dazzled by the more than 25 miles of lights and other decorations on display nightly through January 5th. The lights are on from 5 p.m. to midnight. Admission is free.
3X The Christmas is a holiday event taking place on Main Street in Burke, SD. Events start at 5 p.m. and include a supper, living nativity, a giving tree and a visit by Santa and Mrs. Claus.
The Fall into Winter Craft & Vendor Show features more than 90 vendors, plus door prizes and food and coffee trucks. It’s taking place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Dakota Prairie Playhouse and Dakota State University Fieldhouse in Madison.
Kanaranzi Creek in Ellsworth, MN is hosting a Shop Small Business Event. You can browse the small shop filled with re-purposed home decor, painted furniture and many other items for your holiday decorating needs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Open skating sessions at the SCHEELS IcePlex in Sioux Falls are 1-3 p.m. and 7 to 9:30 p.m. Admission is $9 for adults and $7 for children. Skate rentals are $4.
Midwest SuperCross features indoor dirt bike racing at the W.H. Lyon Fairgrounds. The races start at 7 p.m. in the Expo Center. Admission is $15.
It’s Charlie Brown Christmas Night at the Stampede hockey game against the Omaha Lancers. Stampede players will wear special Christmas sweaters that will be auctioned. Fans can also take part in an ugly sweater contest. The puck drops at 6:05 p.m. at the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center.
